Coming Soon! New Series!

Beginning January 11, we will begin an exciting new video and discussion series called Union with Christ. In Union with Christ, Dr. Sinclair B. Ferguson surveys one of the Apostle Paul’s favorite phrases to describe the essence of the Christian life: being “in Christ.” This twelve-part video teaching series explores what it means to be “in Christ” and how these two simple words can reshape our entire existence. Each lesson will consist of a video presentation by Dr. Ferguson and an accompanying study guide-driven discussion.

You are welcome to purchase the optional book by Dr. Ferguson, Union with Christ: The Blessings of Being in Him, but it is not required for the class. It is simply an additional resource for those who want to deepen their understanding of the topic through independent study. The book is available on Amazon in Hardcover, Kindle and Audiobook formats. There is no need to purchase the Study Guide. The Study Guide will be provided for you in printed form during the classes.

Adult Sunday School

John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, was known for his emphasis on Scripture. He often referred to himself as "a man of one book". He viewed the Bible, God’s Word, as the highest authority for Christian belief and practice. And we hold the same view. You are invited to join us each Sunday Morning for an Adult Sunday School class at 9:30 am in the fellowship hall, Townsend Hall, in the lower level of the church, every Sunday from September through May, where we explore and learn God’s Word in depth. You may enter from the Princeton Avenue entrance, then walk straight down the hall to Townsend Hall. Our leaders are Dick Wehling, Jeff Baumbach and Dan Franco.

Purpose

For each passage of the Bible that we study, we aim to answer the following questions:

  1. Observation: What does the text say?

  2. Interpretation: What does the text mean as God intended it?

  3. Application: What does the text mean for us today and how can we apply it to our lives?
